From One Rental to 15 — Ron Sharp's Story
Ron Sharp didn't set out to build a property management company. He set out to pay for his daughter's college.
It started with a loan against his 401k — enough for a down payment on a single rental property in the Oklahoma City area. The goal was simple: let the rental income and appreciation cover a significant portion of his daughter's future tuition. No grand investment thesis, no real estate seminar. Just a practical financial decision made by a father who was willing to take a calculated risk.
It worked. Fifteen years later, that first property is paid off and will do exactly what he intended — fund his daughter's education.
But something else happened along the way. The strategy worked so well that Ron repeated it. He bought a second property for his second child. Then a third for his third. Then more, because the math kept working and the experience kept deepening.
When friends started asking
When people around him started noticing the results, the questions started. How did you do it? Can you help me with mine? Is this something we could do together?
Ron started helping friends manage their properties. Then friends of friends. Tru Diligence Property Management grew from there — not from a business plan or a venture pitch, but from demonstrated results that other investors wanted access to.
